Sogetsu Ikebana Workshop with Sandy Marker

Join a hands-on Sogetsu Ikebana Workshop and learn the art of Japanese flower arranging!

Join Ikebana artist Sandy Marker for a Sogetsu Ikebana workshop, set within Damien Drew's Shikoku no Seijaku exhibition. Sandy, who has achieved the highest level of Sogetsu Ikebana teaching under Koka Fukushima in Japan, will guide you through the fundamentals of this beautiful Japanese art form.

Participants will learn about the history and principles of Ikebana, be treated to a demonstration of the basic Moribana Upright Style, and have the opportunity to create two of their own flower arrangements.

Cost and inclusions | $35 (+ booking fee) - includes all materials + refreshments

Photography and filming | We may capture moments of this event through film or photography. Please let staff know if you prefer not to be included.

Refund policy | For a full refund, cancel your registration at least 3 days before the event date. Please note that booking fees are not refundable.

Transport and parking | The Gallery can be reached via public transport (buses 324, 325 or 326, or walk from Edgecliff Station or Double Bay Wharf). After-hours parking is available at Council Chambers (536 New South Head Rd, Double Bay NSW 2028). If you are arriving via UBER or Taxi please request a drop-off or collection at the Council Chambers.
