Philosophy Club: The Philosophy of Interpretation

Some people’s trash is other people’s treasure. Why is that? Because what you know, and what you think you know comes through the context of interpretation. Explore the fascinating world of interpretation in this eclectic and stimulating course. You might not look at things the same way again.

Topics for this term will weave through history, art, democracy, architecture, literature, truth & method, classical vs enlightenment and more!

This in-person course will be held at the Cultural Hub, Woollahra Gallery at Redleaf. Immerse yourself in a stimulating environment with lively discussion, as we navigate through the complexities of life.

Date | 30 April to 2 July 2024, every Tuesday morning, 10am-12pm, for 10 weeks. 

Each week is a new topic so it doesn't matter if you miss a session.

Cost |  Book in for access to all 10 sessions for $150. Refreshments included.

Getting here | Parking and public transport are available nearby. There are two disability parking spaces available outside the Council Chambers. There is apublic car parklocated at Cross Street, Double Bay. If you are arriving via UBER or TAXI please request a drop or collection at the Council Chambers.

Cancellation Policy | Paid tickets are not transferable or refundable.

Photography and filming | Events may be photographed, and images used for promotional purposes on Council's website or social media. If you do not wish your image to be published, please notify staff before the event.

Please do not attend the event if you are feeling unwell.
