Learn about Sydney Harbour’s evolution from working wharves to leisure shores and how labour, landscape and culture continue shape its story

About the Event

The Woollahra Libraries Local History team Clio Davidson-Lynch and Jane Britten trace the shifting edges of Sydney Harbour from its colonial industries and working wharves to its transformed beaches and private foreshores.

Drawing on photographs, maps and maritime stories, this illustrated talk reveals how labour, leisure and landscape have continually reshaped the harbour, and how the harbour has shaped us.

Come with questions and stories to share, audience participation is welcome.

Light refreshments will be provided.

Presented by Woollahra Gallery in partnership with Double Bay Library as part of the 'Visions of the Harbour' exhibition program.
