Alice Laura Palmer
Alice Laura Palmer is an artist and educator who explores the visual language of classical academic art training and its residue within the sphere of contemporary art. She has pursued a high level of technical training through her education at the Florence Academy of Art, and is engaged in the development of concept-driven creative projects.
Intercept is a durational performance that reflects on notions of mutation, authorship, and control. As Palmer paints 'from life' she invites viewers to 'glitch' the painting process through the manipulation of her access to paints and brushes; each painting becoming a unique collage of artistic intention and audience intervention.
