Amanda Jane Reynolds is Guringai Yuin Sydney Traditional Owner possum cloak-maker, artist, curator, multimedia storyteller passionate about grassroots cultural healing and connection programs. Her heart and spirit is devoted to the flourishing of southeastern cultural traditions and knowledges, and transforming public spaces of colonial dominance through cultural creative engagement. Renowned for her curatorial work, cloaks, storytelling, and community engaged creative artwork, Amanda’s had the privilege of working with cultural reclamation for over 3 decades – initially apprentice-learning from Elders and knowledge holders graduating to senior knowledge holder – aka Aunty Panda. Recent projects include Giiyong Festival, Open Field Festival, NAIDOC Australian Museum, Yila Healing Trail, National Indigenous Art Fair, workshops for Illawarra Aboriginal Corporation and UOW Indigenous medical students.
