Nettie Sumner, Not Alone, 2023
Fabled brings together a body of hand-knitted wire wall hangings, clay pots and mixed media sculptures; objects that variously evoke textiles, botany, archaeology, flotsam and jetsam.
Nettie Sumner is an early career artist who creates contemporary work in wire and clay using reimagined traditional crafts. Sumner graduated from TAFE NSW in December 2019 with a Diploma in Ceramics and an Advanced Diploma in Visual Arts.
